ALBA MARIELY is a contemporary artist based in Barcelona, known for her bold and modern surrealism.
Her work balances a rational perspective on life with a deep appreciation for the power of the unconventional, the eccentric, and the beautifully unsettling. She finds magic in the unexpected, the overlooked, and the unconventional, all brought to life through her signature vibrant color palette.
Originally from Amarillo, Texas, Alba grew up painting alongside her parents—an architect and a graphic designer—while living in Mexico. She later moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she pursued studies in fashion and fine arts. During this time, she began developing the distinctive style she is known for today—one that embraces the extraordinary and reflects her unique vision of the world. After completing her studies, she moved to Barcelona, Spain, to earn a master’s degree in Creative Direction, where she continues to live and work.
Inspired by her solo travels across Asia, Alba realized that her true passion had always been art—especially painting her signature surreal eyes and teeth. Today, she continues to explore the world, bringing her vibrant and peculiar creations to life wherever she goes.
